Databases of Construction Projects

For finding information and/or photographs of specific structures, these websites will most likely prove useful:

archINFORM

http://www.archinform.de
Although this database specializes in modern architecture, it does contain plenty of projects from other periods. It also contains information on the architects, engineers and builders of the structures listed as well as plenty of literary sources and other information.

Structurae

http://www.structurae.de
This database is meant for engineers and thus focuses primarily on structures built by bridge, civil or structural engineers such as bridges, tunnels, dams, towers, off-shore structures, long-span roofs, tall buildings, etc. However, many works usually considered being more architectural also have their place in this database as well. Besides technical data, information on persons and companies involved in design or construction is included as well as plenty of references in print or on-line.
